Physiotherapy Education

Ruth graduated as a physiotherapist with First-Class Honors from Curtin University in Western Australia in 2009. She has also completed a Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy Major) where she was awarded the ‘Brian Edwards Prize’ for the student with the best clinical results. She is currently completing a PhD that investigates cognitive functional therapy for chronic disabling low back pain.

Physiotherapy Experience

Ruth has extensive and varied clinical experience. She excels in treating neck pain and lower back pain as well as injuries in anyone from weekend warriors to elite athletes and even aged care facility residents. Ruth also works as an Advanced Scope Physiotherapist in the Emergency Department at Rockingham Hospital managing acute musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries. She is a regular travelling physio with Kate Bevilaqua, 3x Ironman Champion and Ultraman World Champion.

Personal Life

Ruth loves the outdoors and is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle. She can usually be found swimming, cycling or running in preparation for her next ultra marathon or ironman triathlon.
