Health Insurance Rebates
As part of our commitment to high-quality service and convenience, we offer in-clinic health insurance rebates and will happily deduct your rebate using our HICAPS facilities on the day of your appointment.
The rebate amount you receive at My Physio Sorrento and My Physio Duncraig varies between the different insurers and levels of cover.
Our friendly receptionist will happily provide you with a quote.
Accident Claims
For Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident claims there is no out of pocket expense.
Medicare Care Plan
Medicare Care Plan appointments attract a $20 out of pocket expense. Full payment is required at your appointment and we will submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf. If accepted, Medicare will deposit your rebate directly into your registered bank account.
What should I expect at My Physio?
Friendly Welcome
Upon arrival, 10 minutes prior to your appointment, our friendly My Physio Duncraig receptionists will warmly welcome you with a complimentary drink and some paperwork to complete.
Assessment
You’ll meet with your physio and discuss your problem(s) and treatment goals, following a comprehensive and customised assessment.
Diagnosis
Your physio will provide a diagnosis and explanation and an opportunity to ask questions. Where possible, your physio will provide you with information on your injury to read at home.
Treatment
Your treatment options will be discussed, ensuring you’re comfortable proceeding.
Detailed Plan
Together, we’ll form a comprehensive treatment plan for your recovery.

You’ll be free to email your physio directly with any questions or concerns, prior to your follow up appointment.

Here are some answers to the most common questions.
A medical referral is not required to see a physiotherapist or massage therapist at My Physio Duncraig or Sorrento.
Please bring any referral letters and relevant test results such as X-rays.
If you have private health insurance please bring your card.
We recommend you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow us to easily see the skin, joints and muscles around your injury. It’s essential that your professional physiotherapist can adequately assess and treat your injured area.
Our Duncraig Physio clinic has many car parking bays within the Duncraig Shopping Centre for your convenience. When visiting Sorrento Physio and Massage, please park in the Seacrest Medical Centre next door.
We are ready to receive phone calls from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12pm Saturday. You can expect to find our Duncraig clinic open, with a smiling receptionist to greet you from 12pm-7pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-5pm Friday. Our Sorrento clinic is open by appointment. All physio and massage therapy availability is accurate on our online booking portal. Alternatively, please feel free to contact our friendly receptionists.
Yes. You may choose one of our expert male or female physios when you book.
Our standard physiotherapy appointments are $109 and are 30-minutes in duration. You have the option of choosing a 45-minute appointment, charged at $149 if you feel the extra time is required. Our massage appointments are $85 for 30-minutes, $105 for 45-minutes and $115 for 60-minutes.
Yes, we have a Hicaps machine and will process your health insurance claim for you. You will only be left with the remaining out of pocket expense.
No, unfortunately private Physiotherapy is not typically covered by Medicare. If you have a chronic condition, you may be eligible for a care plan from your GP.
Yes, we accept Medicare Care Plans or EPC referrals. You will have a $20 out of pocket expense for these appointments.
