My Physio Perth is expanding to Duncraig. Here’s a little more detail on what’s new from February 2024:

New Clinic Location – Duncraig Shopping Centre

We’re delighted to announce that we will be opening the doors to My Physio Duncraig, in February 2024. This second clinic, located at Duncraig Shopping Centre (50 Marri Road, Duncraig), will boast a coastal-themed, comfortable, and inviting treatment space. This new location will have a larger, custom-built space, with three treatment rooms, and accessible and convenient parking. For those who wish to remain at the Sorrento location, we will have limited appointment times available.

If you’re not familiar with the Duncraig Shopping Centre, it is located next to the Duncraig Primary School on Marri Road. It is an iconic and convenient shopping hub, offering fresh food (IGA supermarket), baked delights (Lawley’s Bakery), great coffee (Community Coffee Duncraig) alongside services such as a fitness training at F45, Newsagency and Pharmacy. In other exciting news, craft beers at Duncraig Taphouse (Rocky Ridge) will be arriving soon!

We pride ourselves on having highly-experienced physiotherapists. We are passionate physios with a keen interest in providing expert and evidence-based care. We take professional development seriously and spend time at conferences, lectures and networking with sports medicine colleagues to stay up-to-date on the treatment and management of all musculoskeletal conditions. Ciara’s special interest areas are osteoarthritis, ACL injury and cross-fit/strength based performance sport. Adam draws on personal experience with AFL, cricket and snowboarding, while Ruth has varied experience with endurance sports and in the management of back pain.

Longer Appointment Times

In our ongoing commitment to providing you with the highest quality care, we’ll be offering additional treatment times with longer standard appointments of 30 minutes. This adjustment will commence on 1st February 2024, allowing our clinicians to continue to provide high-quality, personalised care. Our treatment prices will increase slightly to reflect longer appointment times, and previously ‘bulk-billed’ Medicare visits will have the out-of-pocket cost of $20.

Updated treatment prices:

• Standard Initial and Standard Follow Up Consult (30 mins): $109
• Extended Initial and Extended Follow Up Consult (45 mins): $159
• Medicare Consult: $20 Out of Pocket

For your convenience, you will still be able to book your appointments online. Please make careful note of which location you have booked for. Your appointment confirmation email and text will also provide this detail.

Reception Updates

To streamline our processes, we’ve made slight variations to our reception services. Our friendly and professional reception team (Lynda and Anna) will be based at My Physio Duncraig, taking calls for both clinics. Please note, there will be no receptionist at the Sorrento location. So, please grab a seat when you arrive and your physio will be out to greet you as soon as they’re available.

Staff Updates

We are pleased to welcome Ruth as Partner and Clinical Director of My Physio Perth. Ruth began with My Physio Perth in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience. Ruth has a  clinical masters in Manipulative/Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is now a PhD candidate investigating back pain. She also works in the Emergency Department of Rockingham Hospital as an Advanced Scope Physiotherapist, managing acute musculoskeletal pain and injury.
